Class Balance
As we all know, Lineage 2 classes need balance and quality-of-life updates from time to time. No MMORPG is ever perfectly balanced, and ongoing adjustments are part of the journey.
Sigel Knights (tanks)
These skills will deal damage, even if skill effect has been resisted:
We are bringing back these forgotten summons so they can once again be used during sieges. They are especially useful for breaking through castle walls and opening additional entry points.
New skills - Automatically learned on 85/90/95/99 levels
The nerf hammer has spoken! This skill’s power went a bit over the top, so we had to tone it down. - Mana mana cost has been changed to 116/121/125 - Hit time has been changed to 3.0/3.0/3.0 - Reuse has been changed to 8.0/6.0/4.0 Skill mechanic has been adjusted based on PvP or PvE - Skill power for PvP has been changed to 138/140/142 and HP drain 25 on all levels - Skill power for PvE has been changed to 198/200/203 and HP drain 50 on all levels
Let’s face it.. people love being the bad guys, especially in games. These skills gave them the power to punish others with zero consequences, and that just couldn’t stay.
We have reworked these skills, they can no longer be cast on targets that are not flagged for PvP. Additionally, we fixed an issue that prevented summoners from using these skills on their own summons.
The introduction of the new Ertheia race in this update brought fresh classes and with them, some balance issues. Sayha’s Seer had no real weaknesses, as it could remain permanently hidden. We want this class to stay powerful and enjoyable to play, but it also needs to be counterable. After all, you can’t defeat something that’s never visible or targetable.
Wind Blend has been reworked. It now uses a 3-second preparation mechanic triggered by the skill Traces of Wind, before Sayha fully blends with the wind.
Spoilers kind of lost their shine after the spoil nerfs. With the new drop and spoil rework, we want to bring them back into the spotlight and give them a little boost so they can find their place in parties again. Since the spoil mechanic was reworked after GoD, we had to revert it to the old implementation so that it better fits our current spoil system requirements.
Balance adjustments may occur as we review player feedback and monitor in-game data. We’ll be sharing more details as we approach the new season, so stay tuned and follow our social media for the latest updates.
