How to start playing

Create an account
Register a free game account with your e-mail address. Once it is confirmed, the account panel lets you manage your details, security PIN and characters.

Install the game
Pick one of the two downloads above. The launcher is the easy way: unpack it into an empty folder, run it and it downloads the whole game for you. The full client is one big archive with the launcher already inside - unpack it and run the launcher from the folder.

Log in and play
Start the game from the launcher, log in with your account, pick a race and go. Read up on the server first if you like - the features page and the wiki have everything.

Wine, Proton and macOS are not officially supported. The client needs the Visual C++ runtime - download it here (~82 MB) if the game refuses to start.

Do I need the original Lineage 2 client?
No. Our launcher downloads the complete game on its own, and the full client archive already has the launcher inside - either one is all you need. Clients from other servers or the official game will not connect.
The game does not start or complains about a missing DLL
Most of the time the Visual C++ runtime is missing. Install the redistributable package (~82 MB) from our downloads, make sure Windows is up to date and start the launcher again.
My antivirus flags the launcher
The launcher patches the game files, which some antivirus programs treat as suspicious. It is a false positive - add the game folder to the exceptions of your antivirus and run the launcher again.
How do I update the client?
You do not have to. The launcher checks for updates every time you start it and downloads only what changed. A full re-download is needed only when a news post says so.
Can I run more than one game window?
Yes, up to 3 game windows per device - a buffer or a shop next to your main character is fine. Auto-hunting and third-party software are not, the anti-bot system watches for both.
